At ORVH, we take a Holistic Approach:
ORVH addresses a veteran’s physical, cognitive, and psychosocial well-being, which is crucial given the unique challenges many veterans face after service.
Improved Daily Functioning:
Veterans receive support for activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and managing medications, as well as instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs) like home management, cooking, and finances.
Community Reintegration:
OTs help with reintegration into the community by facilitating independent living, driving, and participation in social and leisure activities.
Adaptation to Illness/Injury:
For veterans managing chronic conditions or recovering from injuries, OTs teach new strategies and adaptations to maintain their health and well-being.
Goal-Oriented:
Treatment plans are personalized, focusing on the veteran’s meaningful occupations and goals to promote health and prevent further declines.
